Volvo 240 belt replacment
I have a 1987 Volvo 240 sedan that I am replacing the belt one. The problem I have ran into is with the A/C compressor belt. I have taken of the tensioner bolt on top and loosened the 2 pivot bolts on the bottom but I cannot find any more bolts. The compressor will not budge and I am thinking it is because I am missing a bolt somewhere, I just don't know where. Is it just three bolts used to loosen the compressor to pivot into position for belt placement? Any help will be greatly appreciated, Thanks.
From a piece of mind standpoint, I think it's always nice to know that all the belts are new and were changed at the same time.
what i did was i took out the front bottom nut and bolt. that made it maneuverable enough to slip a belt on and off.
GOOD LUCK!
