Hello,

My volvo 240 DL 1990 LH2.3 wagon has been acting up lately.

The car start up quite well, however after a while of driving the wagon starts to bogg forwards and backward . My foot is still depresing the gas pedal and it is still in gear. the car jerk foor a bit then it stop jerking all at once and drives smoothly.

The car has been doing this since I changed my spark plugs 3 weeks ago. I chekd the plugs and it all looked fine. I then changed bothe fleu pumps and feul filter.I followed that with the timing belt and water pump. After all that work the car felt amazing then just 4 days later it had given me the wrost ride ever. I was going at around 30 to 40 km per hour (15 to 30 miles per hour ) when the car was jerking and bogging.for a moment as I was driving the check engine light came on but then quickly turn off again. I had no idea what it could be at this point.

Everytime i check the the OBD 1 code panel and go nothing . the only code i seem to get is 1-1-1 . Again I know not to trust that little silly computer all the time.

If any one has any information about this or similar issue , I would be very greatfull !

 

I'd suspect the MASS AIR FLOW METER under the circumstances. Doesn't seem related to all you did as it ran fine for four days. Why did you change the fuel pump in the first place?

 

I changed the fuel pump as i was told it was on its way out.
