Default volvo 240 oil light

the oil light in my 86 240 keeps flickering, it only flickers when im actually driving the car when it sits and idles nothing even when i rev it up nothing, im not sure whats really goin on im just kinda deppresed since 2 days ago i just put kybs shocks and struts in, a new water pump and a brake job the cars got 144 thou so shes still pretty fresh in my opinion im thinking it might need a new sending unit, i seen that the wire going to the sending unit was bare and frayed but id like some other points of views on my situation

When the car is moving, the breeze might cause that bare wire to touch the engine or body. I would run a new wire from the pressure switch to the full-moon connector, pin 5, at the back of the instrument cluster.
