Hello, i am new to this forum. Many thanks for your answers and i hope it will help.

I have a Volvo 240 wagon and i have a problem with it.

The problem is probably in transmission, its a 4 speed with over drive (m46 i think, not sure...).
About 6 months ago the transmission started to act like the THIS is little worn but nothing serious - when i engage the overdrive it didnt pull and sometimes it slipped, but just for an second. The transmission has 2 THIS - 1 for overdrive and one normal.
But than the car sometimes didnt GO reverse, it was in gear but nothing, and after a few times ti did. The gearbox shifted to the reverse, engine was working but the car wasnt moving. This happened many times when it was warm (the transmision, not the weather).
Than the complete THIS was changed and the problem continiued. I heard that the problem will be solved if i put the motor oil inside, so i did. The problem was solved but it wasnt good, we were back to 6 months ago phase. The next day same thing and the next-next worse but now when it gets just a little warmer (the transmision, not the weather) the car doesent move and after a few gear shifts it bearly starts to move... i hardly manage to get home...
I now think its the overdrive... (the pistons in overdrive or THIS)
Will it be solved if i change the overdrive or the whole transmission?

What do you think the prob. is and how do i solve it?
