Volvo 740 1989 Turbo
Greetings,
I have a 740 with about 220K on the engine. I bought the car new in '89 and have taken excellent care of it. At present, I can't afford repairs and the car has come up with a new problem:
-After about 30 to 40 minutes of driving, the car will die. Sometimes when at a stop and some times when going at slower speeds
-It seems to happen more frequently in hot weather than cold but either temp, after 30 minutes of driving, it happens
-Usually I can restart the car and go enough distance to get out of traffic, but after a few attempts at this, the car will no longer even turn over...acts like the battery is dead=no sound.
-If I give it 10-15 minutes, the car will start up again, and I can go some distance.
Any ideas?
