Volvo 940 1992 speedometer now working properly
Hi guys, just bought myself a volvo 940 1992 b230ft with a m90 gearbox.
However i got a problem with the car; the speedometer is not working properly. The RPM's is working, and the KM/H (speed it self) is not. Any suggestions on how to go forward on this? and how to check if it is the speedometer or the power or sensor into the speedometer.

The speedometer's capacitors are more likely the problem, need to be changed--not a simple task. You may check the differential pick up wiring but chance are it's the speedo. 1992's are pretty commonly bad...

you can't replace these instrument panels with a different year, as the gas gauge will be way off if you do.
