volvo 940 turbo

I have 1992 volvo 940 turbo put car in rev and backed up. Put in park turned off engine and now it wont start. Lights horn and everything else works. Turn on switch engine will not turn over. please help!!

When you turn the key to start, do the warning lights on teh dash stay on?
It sounds a lot like the park switch on the shifter to me, try wiggling it around as you hold the key to start.

You may be stuck between reverse and park.
Disengage the parking brake and shove it forward a bit until it clicks into gear.
Check your shifter linkage bushings.
