Default Volvo cold start after 6 years

Help!
Good morning my fellow volvo peeps! I have not approached my highly regarded council in some time. I come to you today seeking knowledge. Included in today's humble request I offer an illustration of my predicament. Upon replacing my fuel filter I encountered a torn connection where the fuel line joins the filter. If possible, can my esteemed fellow enthusiasts please share a simpler, and more cost effective way of executing this repair than replacing the whole fuel line? As always, any and all input towards a solution is greatly appreciated. Mutton for all!!!

Sadly, no. Fuel lines run under very high pressure and there is no way to splice them; gasoline finds is way out! Especially in the case you have I can't see how you can do anything short of replacing the whole line. It is not a part that often goes bad; if you have a junkyard near you with Volvos, it is your best bet...

Default Junkyard

Hey love, I just sent you a response that's not going to make sense oh, I j I didn't read the end of your message that suggested a junkyard. If I got one at a junkyard am I going to have to take it off the fuel filter? My question is, do I just need a fuel line and I can shrink wrap it to the fuel filter myself?

You can't shrink wrap it. Just get the whole line. It's attached to the banjo bolt which goes into the filter.

fuel system repairs have to be done correctly, or you risk burning up the whole car, yourself, any passengers and anyone around you. the fuel line is under around 44 PSI pressure. DO use the correct high pressure fuel hose. do NOT use the wrong sorts of fuel clamps.

don't be this guy!
