Default Volvo wheels

I was wondering if anyone knows of any online stores where i could buy a set of nice volvo wheels for my 1990 740. I tried a set off of a newer volvo but they were too wide for the front, they scraped against the strut. I always see some nice looking cars like mine with some really good looking wheels, and curious where they get them.

Well there were a few types of wheels for the 740. There were the "hydra" wheels which i think look the best and are 16in. They look like this.
.

Then there were the "draco" wheels i belive they are called and they look like this...

They are 15in

Then these wheels..

Thoes are the most common for the 740's. My 91 740 came with the 15in draco wheels but i found a good set of the 16in hydra wheels for $150 from a guy selling them. The best thing to do is look on your local Craigs List for deals. Often ebay had them but if your not where the wheels are then the shipping is crazy, also people on ebay over value their items. Hope this helps.

Ronal sells some. Other than that, you're going to need spacers if you're going aftermarket, for the most part.

colgate41, since you already did this. Could you tell me what you have to do to switch to a set of different sized wheels? How do you deal with the speedo, and odo? Erwin

if you get a tire that gives an overall diameter the same as the original tire dimensions, then you don't have to worry about a thing.

Well to be honest, i bought the 16in wheels with tires and all from a guy who was junking his 940. They fit no problem but i did nothing for the spedo etc. I dident even get em ballanced, but they seem to be fine, i mean im gonna need new tires soon anyway.
