Last thursday morning I hit 2 cows and a calf in the dark at 60 mph. There was a storm moving in and it was really dark, just couldn't see them standing in the road side by side facing the oncoming traffic (me!) Looking at the pics of my Volvo 240 you may be surprised to learn I opened the door and walked away; not a scratch, not even sore the next day!

The calf was in the center and came over the hood, hit the windshield and went over the car landing on the right shoulder of the road. The cow on the left went over the driver side fender landing in the left ditch, unfortunately both were killed instantly. The cow on the right was tore up badly but did survive the wreck. It was berserk anytime anyone got within 20 yards of it. Don't know what will happen to it.

The sheriff was amazed when I started the Volvo to drive it off the pavement. Later I drove it onto the trailer to get it home.

All I can say is thanks to God and Volvo.

Anybody need parts?

Where are you located? I'll be travelling to West Virginia for July, and those rims look pretty nice.

I'm surprised the car held up so well, and that you made it out OK. Glad to nobody was hurt(other than the cows).
