Hi all i have a 1992 2.0 litre auto turbo estate 940

yesterday a warning light came on it's the one on the far left of the display, an orange square e witha green triangle and what "Looks like" a picture of the exhaust??

i assume this is some sort of emissions warning

car runs fine (if a little hevay on petrol)

anyaone got any ideas/ what to look for

That would be the Lamba sound light for the O2 sensor. There might be a problem with it. Or some of the cars have it set up to come on at a certain milage to have it inspected.

 

thanks i take it the sensor is in the exhaust- any way of checking it or just a straight replacement??

You can install a digital meter on the Single wire. Watch it with the car running. Make sure it sweeps from O to I think it is 1 Volt or something like that.
