I recently bought a 1983 240, and the interior is gutted. I've got a set of 240 seats, but not the bolts to secure them to the car. Are these available for purchase somewhere? Thanks

 

Best bet would be a junkyard. If not any near you, these bolts are nothing special, and even though I doubt the Volvo dealer would have them, they can probably tell you the size...

 

I'd probably go to a hardware store and get one each M8, M10, M12, in fine and normal pitch, and try them to figure out what thread size it is. you want hex head bolts, 8.8 or so hardness, about 1" long, 4 per seat.

 

They are m8 1.25pitch. The bolts are ~3/4"

They use studs on the front 2 and bolts on the rear 2.

Any hardware store with a nuts and bolt section will have them.

 

hmm, our 87 240 I eyeballed the other day, the front two were bolts. I didn't look at the rear two, (ok, going out there now...) hmm, the inboard rear one I could see is also a bolt (I'm assuming a stud would have a nut on it rather than a hex-head screw/bolt).
