Hey all,

I have a 92 volvo 940 GL Bendix Ignition. Car has 240,000 m9iloes on and runs great except I am not getting as much power as I think I should be. The engine tends to whine out and just seems like more power should be going to the wheels. All Cylinders seem to be firing, just got a new cat so that is not clogged. Feels like it could be something with the vacuum system. Just sort of feels like the engine is sucking but not getting enough air, or the air is not able to make it out of the exhaust efficiently. I get that 240k is a lot and some lack of power is due to that, just feels like the engine is working just not getting all the power to the wheels. If anyone has any common things to check out I would love to hear. I am new to Volvo's

Check Engine Light on? If not, make sure you have good tune up, ie, plugs, wires, clean air filter, etc. May be use premium gas, make sure you have enough air in the tires, 32+lbs. Other than that, that's what 114 horses felt like when new--that's all there is! I know, I have three of these and I love them but uphill is not fun!
