Good Evening all!
I own a 1988 240 DL. The wipers only seem to work when I JUST start up the car, and then only for a few seconds. This usually happens after it rains, otherwise they NEVER work. Could this be a grounding issue. I own the haynes manual but it has proved usless in regards to this problem.

Sounds like a bad relay. Not 100% sure but I think it's behind the radio in the dash.

 

My book shows it is under the left side of the dash on the driver's kick panel.

Thanks guys! Now where can I go abut purchasing a new relay? My local autoparts store?

I would think so....My local Checker Auto still carries stuff for the 240

 

Just got back from the auto megamart and they didn't have one. I shall check online then. Thanks for all your help!
