OK...
Wiper motor works when I unhook the shaft from linkage, however when I hook it back up the wipers will not move?!? When I manually move the wipers there does not seem to be any friction that would cause the motor not to be able to turn. I'm a newbie, so be gentle!

Check to see if your linkages are hooked up correctly. The cables could have come off of the spools or mabye they are slipping on there. In either case it is a real pain in the *** to try to rewind the spools.

 

do i have to take the dash out to do this? i have had several 2 series volvo's, just never this problem?!?!
