Default Wiring through firewall

Hey all, I am installing an amplifier into the trunk of my 1990 240 DL. I need to get a 4 AWG wire though the firewall somehow, so it's quite large. Will I need to drill a hole or is there a known location of a pass through on the drivers side?

Could be...but I already have the wire to the front of the car by going under the backseat and under the carpets. It's literally sitting by the clutch pedal waiting to be put through the firewall. Tomorrow I am going to bust the drill out and just go through it.

Ohh...

Well then, Hope it all works for you.
If it is like my 745, there should be two pass throughs under the driver dash.

Now I am currious to check out my 244....to see what I can do.

Upon further inspection in the sunlight I was able to find that there is indeed a built in passthrough that I suspect is for use in automatics. I just undid two bolts and there was a nice big hole, I drilled out the hole cover and replaced it. Now there is a perfect size hole for the wire to go though and the bass is booming.
