I had to remove the battery from my 91 740 to put it in another vehicle.
I need to move it now, but it won't go into neutral. I am assuming it is because it doesn't have a battery.
Is there a way to bypass the safety feature so I can put it in neutral and move it?

 

In the shifter, on the bottom side,the back side closer to the hand brake, under that plastic "hair", there is a plastic lever that has to be lifted to release the shift lock. Sometimes it is pretty hard to accomplish this but it's there and that's how it's supposed to work.
