I have recently gotten a 760 GLE turbo, and the automatic climate control doesn't work at all. I only get air to the windshield and floor, and to my best knowledge the diaphragm is not leaking, and my ac compressor is getting no power when it should be active. My temperature control also does not work, it just sends out semi warm air, not cold, not hot, no matter what it is set to. The vehicle was sitting for atleast a year before i got it, the guy that had it was a asian car guy and screwed up the whole intake system so that it wouldnt start. So i got a Perfect 760 for less then 700, after i made it run. If anyone has some suggestions, or if someone knows how to hook up the regular climate control, i have one of those, but have no idea what wire goes where

 

The "regular" climate control won't work. You need to replace the CC with another like unit. Is the AC compressor engaging when powered? Is the system full of refrigerant? It came with R12 originally, has it been converted to 134R?

 

I had the second issue in my 1990 760, i have tracked it back to that unit as well, if you can come by an original that really is the only way to fix it, eBay's a good place to look for replacements, those sort of parts are getting hard to come by

 

it wont turn on if it isnt charged with freon.
