Default 1987 760 Turbo electrical connector on top of engine

Hi, everyone! I am an excited new member to the forum! I have a 1987 Volvo 760 Turbo. There is what looks like an electrical connector (female) that is clipped on top of the engine, and it has two wires that runs from it down to the bottom of the engine somewhere. Everyone I've asked so far are just as perplexed as I am. Does anyone here know what that's for? One guy told me he thought it was OBD, but had no idea how it works? Looking forward to hearing from the experts here... Thanks!

It's not OBD.
These cars have many "loose" wires for various accessories available in some markets and not in others.
Better post a picture to get a more definitive answer but I'd not worry unless you have other issues...
