I have a 1990 760 Turbo and my key will no longer turn in the drivers side door to lock/unlock the door. The electronic locking mechanism still functions so that all the other doors lock/unlock when the driver door locks/unlocks. It's a pain because anytime I want to lock my door I have to close the driver's side door go around the car and lock it or unlock it from the passenger side. I figured that it was probably just the door lock cylinder and so I tried to get to it today. I took off the door panel but couldn't access any of the locking mechanism parts because they were behind the door frame. Can anyone give me any ideas or tell me how to get to the lock cylinder or other lock parts? Thanks in advance.

 

There should be a cover over them that comes out.
