I have a 1994 960 sedan with just under 150k miles on it. I am the second owner and the car has been very well cared for. A while into a drive, when I go to accellerate, I get no power, if I floor the gas pedal the car just continues to decellerate. While pressing the pedal to the floor I can hear what sounds like air or something trying to pass through somewhere.
If I shut the car off and let it sit for a while, it runs fine again for a time and then runs into the same issue.

I'd really appreciate if anyone could shed some light on the issue, I am hoping it is a fix I can do myself right now as I really can't afford to have it serviced at the moment.
