My '91 740 was recently totalled and I've found a '94 960 with 96,000 miles for a decent price. It just had the water pump and timing chain replaced along with the rest of the 100,000 mile service. How's the overall reliability on these? I can handle little annoying things going wrong, but I can't seem to find out how reliable the 2.9 and it's transmission will be. It's in great condition maintained by the dealer, btw. Any input would be great since he's holding it for me until Tuesday. Thanks, all.

 

Those cars will last you till atleast 300,000 miles.The engines and transmissions are very reliable.With most of those there is cosmetic things that go wrong.Mostly in the inside of the car.
