I started hearing a whining sound from the power steering pump that lasts for a few minutes when I first start my 960 up. Checked the fluid level and found that it looked OK (pink color), but was a bit low.

When I checked my manual to find out what I needed to use for fluid replacement all it says is ATF. After calling Autozone and O'Rilley's I'm a bit confused because one said use Dextron III and the other said the car takes Type F.

Does anyone know exactly what should be as power steering fluid for my car?

 

Either will work fine, I have used both in my 960. I think the '95 car says F but the '96 doesn't specify.
