760 GLE with no Vacuum at multiple lines...
Hi, i recently purchased a 760 GLE (2.8 of course) for 400.00.. the car runs fine minus a galore of little nic-nacs.. I have to figure out why there is no vacuum at the timing advance solenoid.
We have disconected all 3 lines and none of them have a vacuum. We have vacuum at the heater controls and at the charcoal canister and that seems to be it. There is a Vacuum line that seems to be connected under the intake near to the throttle plates that is broken at the back of the car BUT there is no vacuum at that location at any given time.
I have tried something this am, started the car, disconected the two lines at the canister and jumped the big line (that had a vacuum) with the small one right above it.. magic.. we have timing control now.. I'd like to know how it runs and where am i supposed to find another vacuum source in that wiring mess.. lol
