960 - 95 with problems

Today when I was driving, I heard a strange pop ( sound like soda popping) followed by a physing sound on the front passenger side. Opened the hood and did not see any spattering. What is it and is it safe to drive?

How are the fluids?
Check the coolant.
Did it sound like a suspension noise?

the sound came from the AC blower - it is now intermittent
