I have been told that I have a steering rack leak and estimated cost $640 at a dealer. Could this be done at any garage for less?

Since my AC Evaporator pan has a leak, I have to add refrigerant every summer at a cost of $150. Could this be done more economically?

 

Yes the rack can be done by a garage.
Have the evaperator replaced.

 

hello, my dad's 95 also has the above problem, we are opting not to repair the rack and just keep topping off the steering fluid reservior.

can someone pls post the instructions to refill the A/C on a volvo 960? I bought the generic 134a from Meijer (chain in MI), do I need anything else?

we have a very slow leak somewhere, if it is the evaporator, how much is that?

replacing evaporator by dealer costs about $900.

 

Did you get the hose to fill it as well?
