960 Pass Seat Removal tricks without battery
1997 Volvo 960
wrecked front end
No battery
I'm having trouble getting power to the front passenger seat so that I can move the seat forward enough to clear the bolts that secure it to the floor. I have removed the main grey connector and attached 12v source to the white and black leads within the connector. This worked on the drivers seat but produces nothing when connected to the pass seat. Does anyone know how I can get power to the pass seat to control movement?

The same way, IF the seat is working. Make sure the 'stop' button is not stuck. Do any seat movements work when powered this way? There is a way to unbolt the seat like this using flat open end wrenches, but it is a pain. Also, you can try it by removing the bottom cushion and applying power direct to the forward-backward motor.
