I had the random stalling issue with my 960. I went to check the main and fuel injection relays. When I did, both plugs fell apart, old insulator going everywhere. I managed to put one back together correctly, but the other has me at my wits end. The relay I am having trouble with has 2 red wires that always read 12 volts, a black and a green/black wire. I cannot figure out how to hook this back up. The part number for the relay is 3544322. It is located on the driver side of the engine compartment next to the main terminal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

What year do you have? I will get you the wiring diagram so you can work on this.

The connector should only cost a few dollars, I might be able to get the part number for that too. The old wires & contacts will click into the new connector housing.

 

It is a 1994 volvo 960.
