Default 97 Volvo 960 Ignition switch wiring question

I have a 97 Volvo 960 wagon.I am in the process of replacing the ignition switch.Upon removing the plug from the ignition switch all (8 or 9) wires fell right out of the ignition switch plug.I need to know the order to put them in.Called dealer, no help.
PLEASE HELP!
Thank you...

Try this one it is for the 98 960,S90 is what it says so that makes me think it is the same as the 97.

That was most helpful.Thank you.The car now starts and runs well.Trans. shifts through all the gears perfectly but the dummy light for the trans(Flashing arrow) blinks and so does the three lights on the shift console for trans. performance options. This was happening before I replaced the ignition switch.I was hoping the switch would correct this problem. What do you think?
Tahnk you, Barry

You need to get the transmission codes pulled and cleared.
The lights flashing means there is error codes on the transmission.

Don't know how old this post is, or if you found fix. I have a 97 960 that I bought used. Drove it home with no problems. Next day heading 30 miles to a doctors' appointment before dawn, had the same issue you described. Pulled the owners' manual, and learned it was the overdrive solenoid not pulling in. Had the code cleared, and no problems for another week. Then it reoccurred.

After multiple trips to O'reilly's to get this code cleared, I purchased a code reader and started clearing it myself. It's either a sticky solenoid in the transmission (and there are a LOT of solenoids it there), or a problem with the computer.

Not willing to invest in either one since I have the code reader, and just clear it myself. Once the code is cleared, trans shifts into overdrive just fine.

Only happens the first 3 or 4 miles of a trip after car sets overnight. Once it's cleared, doesn't come back on until next day I drive it. And doesn't happen every time I drive it.

Hope this helps.

Scott
