Default 98 V90 (basically a 960) front "dipping"

hi there,

I have a 98 V90 with 220k...

I know I need new struts in front but want to know if this may be related...

When I go around a turn, slow or faster, the front end seems to "dip" a bit and then the steering wheel sort of twists quickly in the direction of the turn. It is almost as if the steering is turning too much.

Any ideas???

thanks

Default Strut Plate V70 '99 202K

Mechanic replaced front struts (used Gabriels) Now, the left strut moves up and down. He replaced the strut plate because he said the plate bushing was coming apart.

Again, the strut moves up and down through the plate: I can rock the left side of car and see it move up and down.

What the heck is going on please???
