Hello, new to the Volvo World, just got a beautiful 1986 760 GLE Turbo - The one thing that I know it needs is a new distributor.

I am capable of some backyard mechanic work, is this a job that is fairly straight forward doable by a novice?

Any hints, suggestions, trade secrets from those that have done it before?

Would you buy a new one or find a used one? What and how many years did they use this distibutor for the turbo cars?

Looking forward to getting this car running right, I can tell already I like it a bunch
