Default A/C problem

I have a 96 960, i replaced the condensor after the old one was leaking badly. upon recharging the system with 12a refidergant the system works but the air cool not what i would call cold. the compressor is working all the time, high and low revs, and there are no leaks at all in the system. could the reciecver and expansion valve need changed?? or is 12a really not all its cracked up to be? any ideas?

HI My 97 960 wagon had the dryer/orfice changed last year. Then it started acting up again this june with the hot weather. Its cold then warm for 4-7 mins and then cold. After the garage added 134a 3 weeks ago it was great for 2-3 weeks now its warm only. They put in dye to find a leak but none found? I wonder is the dashboard sensor bad? Or do I have a leak on the inside of the car in the core? thanks

thanks, I've also found a code 1-6-1 which seems to be related to the solar sensor on the dash board. How expensive and how hard is it to change this? My A/C problems have gone on for several years and if we covered the solar sensor we had better cold air. thanks for your help

The evap isn't that hard really. It is just time consuming.
I would fix that first and see from there.
