Default coil pack removal - 96 960

need to change the plugs on my 960 960 wagon. removed the cover and see it has individual coil packs on each plug. after removing the ever-popular 10mm bolt...
is there a special way to pull up the coil pack? a pair of screwdrivers perhaps? or a special tool?
do i need to disconnect the battery?
do i need to disconnect the coil pack from the loom too?

ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

Just pull the coil out with your hands!! Sometimes they get stuck in there but they can be pulled out.

avoid excessive bending of the harness wires. I broke one of my wires halfway right at the connecting joint and it made the car run rough. It was a pain to troubleshoot, and when I finally did find out what was wrong, I had to make a new plug, because apparently the plugs are not sold as individual units.

No but you can buy a wire that you splice in and then put in the plug.
I replace them all the time.

Default thanks..and twist it helps

thanks, guys.. i found that twisting the coil pack after disconnecting the harness helps break the suction and they pull right off.
