My dash lights and instrument lights are always on when the ignition is turned regardless of the what position the headlight switch is in, they also do not dim. I swapped the dimmer switch in the dash and no change. any ideas where to look next?

 

What kind of car do you have? What year?

 

its a 96 960

 

My guess would be the head light switch.
