Hi all!

Ive been to look at twice now this 1985 Volvo 760T. The body is in MINT condition but the dealer said that the new Alternator isnt charging the battery very well. And my main concern about buying it is driving it 40 miles home and be stranded.
Everything else works on the car though such as lights, dash ect ect. I did check the Alternator belt and it seems to be at the right tension. The battery looks new too.
It does have a few other minor flaws but its perfect for what i want it for - a project car to learn on whilst im getting my AST Degree. Getting it home is the big issue.

There asking $500 before tax and title for the car.

Any idea what could be wrong?

I forgot to mention, when i drove it around the car lot, everytime i turned the steering wheel, all the bash lights would come on.
