Default 89 760 trans type.....

I just got an 89 Volvo 760 Turbo. The trans. is bad and I have 2 options for a replacement, one with a crank sensor and one without a crank sensor, how do you go about checking for the correct one?
Thanks,
Chris

Look down the back of the engine at the back of the Head.
If your car has a speed sensor it will be mounted in the top of the transmission where it meets the engine.

Also another way to tell is to look at the Dist. if it has an electrical plug the car doesn't have a speed sensor. If the Dist. only has the 4 spark plug wires and the one coil wire it has a speed sensor.

Edit here is a picture of an engine with a speed sensor.

Well went out and checked and I have the non-sensor trans.Thats a huge bonus because I found one for it with 72,XXX for 300 bucks. Now the fun begins, do I have to drop the fuel tank to swap out the trans? It looks like the driveshaft is above it but its kinda low so I didnt bother to totally crawl under it.
Thanks,
Chris
