I'm looking on Rock Auto and I can get a head gasket itself or a whole gasket kit that they recommend. I've never done work like this on a 960 so can someone tell me what gaskets these are and if I'll actually need them? check out kits on some of the Volvo friendly web sites like IPD USA, FCP Euro, EEuroparts etc to see what genuine Volvo and OEM kits include.

 

Hi Sleekpete-I did the head gasket on my 740 recently and I bought the Victor Reinz kit. You definitely will use the head gasket, valve cover gasket,and intake and exhaust manifold gaskets.They throw in fuel injector gaskets and a couple other things that you probably won't need or use,but it was still cheaper than buying the ones you need separately.
