Just replaced both headlite assey on the 96,960. They donot work, every thing is hooked up as original, even changed bulbs (lite on dash says bulb out). Removed battery terminal, now the alarm goes on as soon as U open the door. Tried resetting the anti-theft code on the radio, no success. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Well finally got it figured out!!! Headlites not working - the pins on the main connector in the headlite assy were pushed in, not making connection, pulled the pins out, everything OK. The alarm problem - the manual says put in the anti theft code on the radio and every thing should be ok, not, when you disconnect the battery you have to:- set the alarm code per manual on the radio, close doors - hood - trunk then lock and unlock the door twice. Hope this helps some one.
