Default heat on...WHAT I CANT HEAR YOU

holy crap...it appears someone has connected some sort of forestry equipment to my blower motor....if i turn the fan speed above 3 the drone goes right through your skull and you'll be ready to throw small cute furry animals into a wood chipper before you know it...........{im an animal lover people, please dont take offense, just driving home a point}

anyone else ever have this monstrous noise from a blower fan???

my daughters BF says volvos are known for it???

whats the fix?

Yes. That cavity is very attractive to rodents. Maybe they left some nuts there. Seriously, something like that is stuck on the blades.

ill do so digging in there......its really not like something is in there though more of a drone ...like some of the blades are missing or something....good to know its a common problem area and not a new to you type issue.......turns out my daughters boyfriends fan got so bad he ran an extension cord witha timer on it and plugged a ceramic heater in ...in the car so he could heat the car up before leaving for work instead of listening to the fan noise it was so bad ...old 740 wagon, the OG pimpwagon poor thing didnt have a square corner on it ....paid 300 bucks for it changed the oil, some new tires and took off on a 32 day road trip from NY to california then drove it for 4 years before the injection let loose....418,000 on the clock.....drove it onto the scrappers trailer !!!! - - -the very reason theres two voo's sitting in my yard today!!!

It is ridiculous how cheap these cars are bought. I paid $ 800 for my V90 with 143k miles. Drove 150 miles home. Sure did some things to it, but 800 bucks??? c'mon....

I cant get over how cheap used Volvo's are in the US and the UK. Here in Aus my 95 850's insurance value is still $9000, and for a good 850R you are paying around 10K. In 2010 when I wrote my 86 740 GLE off I got a cheque for $7250. For a well sorted 1990 240 wagon here you'll still pay over $3k
