i need help really bad i can not figure out what happened to the car i was driving it at about 62 mph. one night on my way home from work it was cool out not hot or cold and i had not been pushing on it or anything. now it has had a small oil leak for a while but i am always good on making sure its were it should be well anyway i was driving home and 3 miles from home while driving it like made a weird noise along with like a misfire or something then i started to slow down and my rpm were dropping and i started to hear a lot of noise from the engine in the car so i pulled over and the car sounded like it was gonna stall or blow upso i turned it off and checked the oil it was a little bit low so i add so more and i turned the car on it still sounded like it was gonna stall or blow upso i put it in gear and got it rolling again but i could not get it to go over 45 mph and if i tried to give it more gas it would start to make a weird noise and i would not go any faster oh by the way when i had to slow down to turn it was hell to get it back up to 45 mph it took for ever when i got home i went to park it and like it did not want to move any more fowards or backwards the next day i got it to start same noise but it moved a little bit and when i reved it a little it sounded kinda normal but after i turned it off it wont start now when u turn the key it sounds like its gonna start then it just turns over and over with nothing please somebody help

 

what kind of racket is it making, and can you tell where the sound is coming from ? that could be a lot of things, from a catalytic converter to an electrical ground ... did any of the gauges do anything out of the ordinary ? ... otherwise, have you taken it to someone to pull the codes yet ?
