I recently purchased a '95 960...love it, had it overhauled...well, the keyless remote had always acted funny with regards to unlocking the doors. I had to be standing right next to the car to even make it work. I was only given one remote with the purchase, so first I changed the batteries, worked better but still having to stand so close.

Then, the other day it wouldn't work and now the self control locks do not work period. I have to lock each door with the key or manually. I am going to the mechanic to check the fuse. But, I also went to the dealership to buy a brand new remote. They couldn't get it to program. The red alarm light won't even come on.

Can someone shed some light on this.

The Alarm relay might be bad. It is behind the Radio in the dash. The lower dash panel will have to be removed.
