Change the plugs. Unlikely to fix your misfire only on 3. After that, drive the car for 10-15 minutes at 4500-5000 rpm, 50-55 mph (low gear). This is to burn up any carbon built on the exhaust valves. Don't worry -- these motors love high revs. BTW, these motors were engineered by Porsche, if you didn't know it.

Erase the code and see what comes back. While you have the motor open, it is a good time to clean (ultrasonic) the injectors. It is about $ 15-20 per injector.

and yes, it is pissing out a bit of water, mostly steam i imagine, doesnt really leak it out....because of the pressure i imagine.

had a green, and i also have a grey one....both are fine, same thing either way,..

When was the last time you serviced the cooling system (flush, new thermostat, etc)?

OK...gonna do the seal....finally got back to the car after Halloween....i did however put it together 1st to see...and you guys were right on...it broke the seal....so now i guess i need to shop....

cam seals
timing belt
sealant for cam cover
bolts?

not sure where to get all this without killing my wallet...
and....i noticed when retightening the bolts, almost half were stripped, or almost..
how do i fix that? the bolts seem fine, its the aluminum that is bad....

Seals: get'em Genuine Volvo: FCP/Tasca. $ 8
Belt: Contitech (Continental): FCP/Tasca: $ 34
Sealant: Permatex Copper Spray (HG Seal, high-temp, etc) Napa sells, $ 10
Bolts: FCP, and/or Tasca: $ 40-50.

If threads in the hole are stripped, you need to tap them with thread repair.

sorry, i havent done anything with this car yet....been running my VW....so this has come off the road until its fixed right...thanks for the tips, ill post as soon as i get into this...
