Default Low Beam Headlight not working

1995 960.
Baught a new Low Beam bulb at Auto Zone (AZ) and it won't light. Checked socket and it shiws 13 Volts. Checked bulb and it is OK.
The contacts on the bulb look really thin, went back to AZ and they checked and it was the correct bulb per them.
Could the socket contacts be sprung?
Or does it take a special bulb.
Sorry I don't remember the bulb no.

Default RE: Low Beam Headlight not working

This morning I switched the bulb to the other side and the bulb worked in the other side and the bulbs look the same as far as the thin metal pins were concerned.
Tried bending the metal pins in and out and they still dont make contact.
Verified the voltage and it is still 13V. Hmmmmm

The connector must not be touching the metal pins. Are these connectors available in a standard auto parts?

Help

If you don't care about doing a little soldering you can probable cut a connector off of basicly any part of another volvo 960 from a junkyard. Almost every connector is the same for them. If I remember last time I saw under the hood of a 95, they only had 2 prongs...so I would strip a small section of the wire and jumper into that with a new connector. All in all, whatever is most convenient for you is probably what you want to do.
