Left low beam headlight not coming on
#2
Get out the VOM and check for voltage at the bulb connection. One of my lamps stopped working and I found that the wiring inside the headlight had burned up. You could wiggle the connection to the low beam and it would come on but as soon as you ran over a bump it would fail. I had to pull the headlight out of the car and rewire the low beam. I pulled the connector and some wire from a 1993 Volvo 940 in the junk yard. I then cut out about six inches of the old wire and used wire caps to connect the new wire to the old wire inside the headlight. Worked great and was free to repair.

Experiencing identical fault on my 2000 s40. Lamp (bulb) and fuses check out on my VOM. How did you resolve your issue?
The three terminal connector is not getting current to the low beam left side, which could be a dreaded wiring harness issue. I am getting current to the line side of the appropiate fuse, and I jumpered (bypassed) said fuse but still no current downstream. I am a Journeyman Electrician, and I cannot explain how maddening this is....
