Default Manual Trans Fluid....

Okay, I've searched a lot, and I know that the 4 speed with electric over drive uses ATF. It is the same as my Mustang, but I'm curious if the electric over drive has a filter and if it needs to be drained and changed separately. I was looking at it today and it looks like the e overdrive has a little tiny pan on it like a regular auto.

Any help would be greatly appreciate.

Thanks,

Kevin

The mustang just has long tubes, under drive pulleys, and 4.10's. The Lightning is running 14lbs of boost, PSP 4 way chip, 90 MM MAF, Factory Tech Valve Body and shift kit, Truck Traks, PSP High Flow air filter, twin 155 lph fuel pump. An electric water pump and fan are soon to come.

I'm taking the Mustang a part this winter as it has 180k on the original motor and trans and rebuilding it from top to bottom.

That is cool. My factory engine has 150,000 on it and has been sitting on an engine stand in my garage for a year now.

I have a Non Ho in there now for the daily driver once I buy the aftermarket Clutch Quardarant. The stock one just blew apart on me.

Money tight after being out of work almost a year and having 4 kids.
Just got back to work and starting to make money.

Here is one pic of it in color.
I have more on a disk but the computer is messing up at the moment.

I wish I had a notch back. They are hard to come by now days. I just blew my clutch quadrant 3 weeks ago...I have an aftermarket setup, but I only changed the cable when I changed clutch. I was to lazy to mess with the quadrant, now I said forget it and will just replace it when I rip the interior out. It's funny a bad heatr core and a quadrant made me decide to rebuild the whole thing.

I miss driving mine, and probably will for the next two years. It will be worth it when it is done though. I can't wait to get rid of my stupid turbine rims!! I'll be parting out a lot of stuff that I'm replacing, let me know if your looking for anything in particular

I will do that thanks.

Thank god the turbine rims were gone from my car when I bought it.
I really hate them.

But another delima for me is wether to buy 4 lug 17's or convert to 5 then buy 17's.

I am thinking about the same thing. I am replacing my 8.8 and going with a 9" so I think I will probably go the 5 lug route, the fronts are easy enough with new rotors so it shouldn't be to bad, but if I wasn't changing my rear end I would probably stay with the 4 lugs. They can handle a lot of power. It's tough to spend money unless you want to see 11's.

I hear you.I think if Im gonna do the swap im goinna do it the cheap way.
2 left side ranger axles and drums. Then for the rotors Mark 8 rotors will work but not let the center caps for some rims fit. But 100-150 instead of the full convert kit is good.

Yeah, that makes it a lot more palatable. Will the 5 star center caps not fit or is it all rims?

IM not sure exactly which rims they will not fit on.

I know there is some but not all that will not fit.

I was going to guess when I did it.

I have a set of 5 lug 15's from a 2001 stang I was going to try when I did the conversion and see what happened.
The I was going to try the 5 star newer one with the grey center the 17's.

I don't know anybody that has converted to 5 lugs the cheap way. I'll be interested to see how it goes for you. I probably will get a 5 lug setup when I get the 9" and then get some new rotors. No sense in half assing when I'm re-doing everything.
