Default Mystery engine compartment connector

New to me 1990 Volvo 760, found a connector that has two slot, square black case (female) with wire bail, green and black wires that lead to a larger bundle running along inner fender. Hangs on the LH side of the engine compartment. Have searched in vain for anything this might belong to, can't find anything withn range that it could mate. Haynes wiring diagrams are a useless maze. Anyone know what it might go to? Thanks in advance. This is my 5th and most "modern" Volvo. Engine light is on, don't know if related -car runs fine, shifts fine. There are more "orphan" connectors on the fender but they seem to have been bare for years, this one worries me.

Welcome to the forum.

Have you posted this question in the 7 series section? If not, I would do it ASAP because this is just the welcome section for new members. More then likely, this will get moved.
