Default New member saying Hi (93 960 Sedan)

already posted this in new member forum but figured id say hi here with fellow model owners.
******

Hi All,

New to this site and new to Volvo. Just picked up a daily run around for $700. full service history and all that which makes me happy. 136k miles.

Needs a few things -
*AC is not running but i did find a receipt for a recharge a few years ago. might have a small leak somewhere. Maybe a recharge will do just fine, if the compressor kicks on to allow me.
*Sunroof Motor missing - ordered on ebay
*Suspension needs replaced
*New Tires
*No radio as antenna is gone, might just get a aftermarket setup for cheap with new speakers.

For now i am planning the following as this car has been sitting for a while before i got it:
Seafoam in the gas tank, intake and crank case.
Followed by a oil change, spark change, fuel filter change.
Change air filter, wipers and clean throttle body and MAF sensor.
Brake fluid flush followed by brake job.
Suspension work. front and rear.
And a tranny flush n fill with a new filter.

Interior is a bit cracked and i will be looking into fixing the seat motors. awfully tempted to get seats reupholstered but as this is a just a run around a seat cover might be just fine!

Hopefully this car can do the job it needs to, just 20 or so miles a day and picking up a baby from pre-school!

So hopefully the posts here will help me on my adventure.

My opinion is to get it going and be happy with it before spending the money to get the seats reupholstered. It sounds like you have a good plan.

Change the engine coolant!! In the USA, the blue coolant seems to be least costly at the benz dealer.
