Thanks to Tech I got door panel off with no trouble, now the new problem. On the out side driver's door I removed the opening mech. and found the platic rocker part of opening mech. broken. Will I have to buy a new handle from dealer at God knows what price or is there a part with more integerity to replace the plastic one. As usual there is always something wierd going on with a Volvo or at least mind. Again thanks for help on the panel-would have never guessed the way to remove it.

 

No problem.You can search for salvage yards in your area.If im not mistaken the working parts from a 740 or 940 door handle are the same.If you buy a handle from the dealer it needs to be painted.But you could buy one and switch the parts from the new one to your old one.Or if you can find one in the junk yard you should be able to swap the parts.
