Default 960 running on 5 cylinders only

Hello All ! Looks Like a great forum here
I just autozone scanned our "96" 960 and I received the following:

1) P0410 Secondary air injection sys malfunction
2) P0118 engine coolant temp circuit high input
3) P0304 Cylinder 4 misfire detected

I would like to fix Number 3 first.

Any advice and direction would be much appreciated !
Thanx !

The coils are known to go bad.Remove the coils and check for cracks.Once they crack it is not that long before they start missfiring.Check your plugs as well. With the coolant temp sensor bad as well it might be running rich.

OK, I will doublecheck the coil.
what is the easiest & safest way to check for spark on these individual coil conraptions w/o having to build a gizmo. and how do I disable the fuel injection when I want to test individual spark plugs?
Thanx !

There should be a fuse or relay in the fuse box under the hood for the fuel pump.If it is easier swap 4 and 1 or something like that and see if the code changes cylinders. That would be the easiest way to test it.I will bet it is not missfiring all the time.Only during acceleration when hot or something like that.
