Oil light is on..

Oil light is on..

Since I bought this car the Oil Light has been on, the levels are fine, and I changed the Oil and Filter and the light is still on....whats the dilly on the light...? thanx

It's an oil pressure light - your owners manual should have told you this. STOP DRIVING IT until you can verify oil pressure. If you have low (or no) oil pressure, you're quickly destroying your engine.

depending on the year of the car . most of the time it is the oil pick tube seals worn causing air to be sucked up instead of oil . but would start with oil press. test first

There could also be an oil sending unit wire broken. This is just a wild guess though. I had a guy brake a wire on one when I had a 740. This caused the oil light to come on.
